Function Description

As an all-round metalworker, you will play a vital role in keeping airport operations running smoothly. You will work hands-on in a modern workshop alongside a team of 10 experienced metalworkers and mechanics. Your main responsibilities include independently maintaining and repairing a variety of airport equipment, such as luggage carts, dollies, and airplane stairs. Each team member works at their own designated workstation, complete with all necessary tools.

A typical day involves diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of airport support equipment. You’ll use a tablet to document your work and track tasks in our digital system, ensuring accurate records and efficient workflow. Collaboration and mutual support are key, as everyone helps keep the workshop running smoothly.

Requirements

MBO working and thinking level
2 to 5 years of experience as a metalworker or mechanic
Valid forklift certificate (Transport – Forklift certificate)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs
Basic digital skills (to record work via tablet)
