Warehouse operative

We are looking for Electric Pallet Truck Operator (Ride On Truck) / Order picker

For a modern & dynamic logistics service provider whom besides warehousing is a specialized transport company for 24-hour transport of palletised goods in the Benelux. At Woerden (Utrecht) they have a modern truck park of more than 317 towing and towed units. In the warehouse many tens of thousands of pallets are stored and there is a huge cross dock operation in the evening and at night

Participating in a cross-dock operation where trucks are unloaded with electric pallet trucks and loaded again to become efficient routes for further distribution to their final users.

As a Cros dock employee you are responsible for unloading and stacking pallets for freight forwarding. This happens in a 24- hour working environment. You are responsible for registering sorting and checking incoming and outgoing goods & documents by means of scanning.

The team exists of a nice mixture of Local employees and EU – citizens. The main language is English so no need to speak & read the Dutch language, off course if you do it is always useful.

The perfect candidate:

·        Must be able to relocate to the Netherlands or live in the Utrecht area;

·        Must have previous Electric Pallet Truck / Ride On Truck experience;

·        Must have at least 6 months warehouse experience;

·        EU Passport.

What will you be doing:

·        General warehouse operative;

·        (Un)loading pallets;

·        Checking goods for VAT purposes;

·        To liaise with supervisor to prioritise work;

·        Order picking when necessary.

The client provides services in the area of distribution, warehousing, cross docking and container handling. There working method is characterized by a high degree of precision and flexibility. As a family business, the client has for decades positioned itself as a well-running transportation company among the largest logistics companies in the Benelux. With daily, 24-hour deliveries in the Benelux, the client is one of the biggest of its kind. The company is located in the town of Woerden, near Utrecht. This is in the centre of the country.
